British Fishcraft Championships 2019 - Results

Our fishmongers hone their skills night after night, filleting and prepping fresh fish for delivery to your kitchen the next morning. There are years of experience, knowledge and craftsmanship in every one of our branches. So when it comes to the prestigious National Federation of Fishmongers (NFF) British Fish Craft Championships, they’re ready.

This year’s Championships took place in Cardiff over the sunny Bank Holiday weekend. Competitors can enter up to 5 out of 8 categories, with points from each totalled to give an overall British Fishcraft Champion. Plus there are some additional stand alone competitions. M&J are proud to support the competition by sponsoring the M&J Seafood MSC Championship and lending the expertise of our 2 Master Fishmongers, Terry martin and Dave Bennett, to judge a number of the categories.

As usual our lads and lasses put in a sterling performance. Overall we won awards in 8 different competitions, with Neil Lane from Cirencester came third in the overall championship. What’s more Sarah Webber from Farnham showed everyone how it is done by being ranked Top Scoring Female as well as walking away with the Welsh seafood Cluster Collage title.
